This post is not about Java, but it’s about a really cool application, called EarthPOI, an AJAX driven application build in PHP, Javascript, MySQL and also the so cool Google Maps, Prototype and Prototype Window Class.
Simply put, EarthPOI is a community of people that share Points of Interest (POIs). It’s all about discovering earth and its most interesting places.
EarthPOI is still in beta version, and it will probably be for a while. It’s been live for a few days now and hopefully you can use it without many problems! Just make sure you use Firefox browser, since we do not support IE (yet). There’s still much more functionality to come, we are working very hard on it, and we hope you’ll find it as much fun as we do!
Btw, “we” are me and Bas. We gave up on cleaning the house to make this application on the last 35 days.
Gotta run!
